Day 7 – Clearing the Garden of Your Heart (Reflection)

Day 7 - Clearing the Garden of Your Heart

“No matter how deep the issue, and no matter how long you have struggled with it, the possibility exists for you to become absolutely free, whole and healed.” Brandon Bays

Your heart has an incredible power to intuit, sense and guide you in each and every moment.

However often we allow lower energies, belief systems and patterns to keep us separated from hearing and following the call of the divine within us.

Keeping our energy field and soul essence clear of heaviness, limitations and toxicity is critical if we are going to sow a garden that prospers and flourishes into full bloom. In the same way that a real garden must be regularly weeded, nurtured and attended to, so too, we must find the time to simply stop and evaluate the condition of our own hearts and souls.

As well as clearing the garden of your heart, it’s also critical that you find the space and contemplative time to really honour and acknowledge how far you have come in life. We often are so focused on the goals and dreams that are yet to eventuate, that it can be easy to lose sight of the accomplishments and progress that we have made. So don’t just look at how far you have to go, turn around and reflect on just how far you have actually come, and who you have become in the process.

Weekly Soul Reflection

So, today’s practice is very simple. With your journal and pen at hand, take a moment to simply reflect on your physical, spiritual and emotional energy field. Notice how you really feel.

And then simply begin to imagine your life as a beautiful plot of soil that is in the process of being cultivated. Just as a famer might come through and use a tractor or hoe to till the soil, notice how your life’s soil looks and feels:

  1. Are there any weeds or residue that need to be removed?

  2. Is the soil fresh, nourished and live or does it feel inert or decaying?

  3. Are there any rocks, obstacles or debris that need to be cleared?

Simply notice how your life feels, intuitively and energetically with this process. Then, if there is anything that is not right, or that you are not happy with, simply imagine yourself clearing the soil and replenishing it until it is just perfect for you to plant the new seeds of your soul.

When you feel complete with this process, then simply reflect on how far you have come in your life. Make a list of:

  1. What you are most proud of

  2. What brings you joy

  3. What you are most grateful for

  4. And who you are committed to becoming each day.

The Affirmation

I am a source of divine light. As I nurture my body, mind, soul and spirit, my spirit becomes alive and I am ready to plant the new harvest of my soul.

The Question

What am I most proud of in my life?

The Thought

Because my inner-world creates my outer-world, today I resolve to take care of my ‘garden of the heart’, knowing that as I heal my spirit, I heal my life.
